World Aids Database was formed in 2002 by Jordan and Preston Arroyo of La Jolla, California USA.   Having participated in some philanthropic projects locally and regionally, both boys felt a need to put their skills together.  With their background in computer technology and storage devices, and with a parent in the Wireless Industry, better data, the missing link, could be obtained.

Having lived for a time in Switzerland, attending school, Jordan and Preston thought that the perfect place to locate the database.  Connectivity was no problem, and proximity to Africa was better than in the States.  Also, the data would be more "neutral" and the possibility to compromise it by any government would be remote.
